What Are Chakras?

Chakras are energy points within our bodies. They are associated with all areas of our lives, including the physical, mental and spiritual. The word “chakra” comes from Sanskrit and translates to “wheel” or “disk”. The chakras of the body are known as the wheelhouse of our beings. They are the energetic centers of the body that help the body to function and maintain its natural vibration frequency.

There are 7 chakras within the body that align from the top of the head through the bottom of the spine. Each of the 7 chakras is in a specific location. Each of these chakras serves the body differently and represents specific areas of the spiritual and mental bodies.

When chakras become blocked, it can cause harm and discomfort in the body. For example, when the root chakra (which is located at the bottom of the spine) is blocked it can cause fear, anxiety and insecurity. You may even start to feel so aches and pains in the bottom of your sacral bones. When this chakra is balanced, you will feel more grounded and secure in your foundation.

There are various ways that your can balance your chakras. You can use different methods of meditation, yoga and even diet to focus on specific areas of the body and your chakras. Reiki healing is also a very popular way cleanse and balance chakras. They are also specific stones that can be used to balance chakras.

When our chakras are balanced, we are grounded and energetic. Our natural energy flow will be Intune and we can be the most productive and spiritual. Our senses and intuition are at the highest potential when our chakras are aligned. It also helps our physical body manage our every-day life.
