7-STEP CHAKRA MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS

If you are new to meditation, the simpler, the better. Meditation isn’t meant to be complicated or confusing. Breathing and chanting are often the easiest for beginners.

Below is a beginner’s meditation for the 7 main chakras:

  1. Gently bring your mental focus to the base of your spine, the ROOT chakra. Let it rest there for a few moments, then take a deep inhale and say to yourself “I AM” on the exhale say “GROUNDED”. Allow the state of groundedness to wash over you and observe it calmly.
  2. Gently advance your mental focus upward to the belly button area, the SACRAL chakra. Let it rest there for a few moments, then take a deep inhale and say to yourself “I AM” on the exhale say “WHOLE”. Allow the state of wholeness to wash over you and observe it calmly.
  3. Gently rise your mental focus up to your diaphragm area, the SOLAR PLEXUS chakra. Let it rest there for a few moments, then take a deep inhale and say to yourself “I AM” on the exhale say “BALANCED”. Allow the state of balance to wash over you and observe it calmly.
  4. Gently bring your mental focus to your heart, the HEART chakra. Let it rest there for a few moments, then take a deep inhale and say to yourself “I AM” on the exhale say “LOVED”. Allow the state of love to wash over you and observe it calmly.
  5. Gently bring your mental focus to your throat area, the THROAT chakra. Let it rest there for a few moments, then take a deep inhale and say to yourself “I AM” on the exhale say “PEACEFUL”. Allow the state of peacefulness to wash over you and observe it calmly.
  6. Gently bring your mental focus to your brow, the THIRD EYE chakra. Let it rest there for a few moments, then take a deep inhale and say to yourself “I AM” on the exhale say “PRESENT”. Allow the state of being fully present to wash over you and observe it calmly.
  7. At the pace that is right for you, gently bring your mental focus to the top of your head, the CROWN chakra. Let it rest there for a few moments, then take a deep inhale and say to yourself “I AM” on the exhale say “CONNECTED TO THE DIVINE”. Repeat as many times as desired and remember to allow the state of connectivity to wash over you and observe it calmly.
