Intention At Midnight

Setting an intention is one of the most powerful forces you can wield in your life. An intention is a guiding aim that keeps you in alignment with your desires and goals. It utilizes your creativity to birth new dreams, ideas, and goals. Intentions are different from goals because goals are more action-oriented, while intentions keep us mentally/spiritually focused.

How do I set an intention?

For many people and intention comes to them intuitively, but if that hasn’t happened for you, then reflect on some of the things you are passionate about. Your passions are reoccurring thoughts, feelings, and actions. Notice what you talk about a lot, notice what you dream about a lot and notice what you’ve already done in the past that felt important and good to you. Once you do, then start considering ways of doing more of that.

When is the best time to start an intention?
Whenever you decide to. However, making intentions around that time of in-flow and out-flow will naturally bring more supporting and amplifying energy to your energy. In-flow is when something new is starting in nature, like the sunrise, the clock striking midnight or the New Year starting. Writer out, state aloud or meditate on an intention to start something around these times.  For example, the intention of getting in tune with my body can start the goal of signing up for dance lessons.

Out-flow is when something ends in nature, like the sunset, 11:59 PM or New Year’s Eve. Writer out, state aloud or meditate on an intention to end something around these times. For example, the intention to stop procrastinating can be done at the end of the year and once the clock turns midnight, the new intention to be proactive is stated, written and acted upon.

Using Sage For Energy Healing

The beginning of the year is a perfect time to take stock of where you have been and where you are going.  It is also an important time to let go of things that have been holding you back.  Saging or smudging with sage can be a great way to cleanse yourself of negative energy and keep it from following you into the New Year.

There are several ways to accomplish this.  One is to have a bit of charcoal burning down until it is white, then drop bits of dried sage onto it.  Sit in front of it and focus on the negative things that have happened to you this past year.  Imagine that you are sprinkling the memories as you add the herbs to the charcoal.  As the smoke rises and drifts away, so too will the things that you have gone through that have been holding you back, leave you, and allow the healing process to begin.

Letting go of pain and sorrow from the past year can be difficult.  Sometimes it takes an act of physical purpose to begin the healing process.  To do this you can sit in front of your sage as it is smoking and journal about your last year, putting into words all that has hurt you or held you back and when you are finished, get up and hold the journal, or piece of paper you have written things down on, above the smoke, allowing the smoke to drift over the words and cleanse them from your mind and your life.

A more intense way of using saging or smudging is to use an actual smudge stick which is usually made out of white sage or other cleansing herbs. Light the bundle then blow it out so that it continues to smoke.  Pass the smudge stick around your head and then down the front of your body and around to the back of your body, focusing your mind on letting go of the heavy emotional things you have been carrying, as the smoke drifts around you.  Imagine the pain and negativity drifting up into the air and disappearing the way the smoke does.  Imagine your first steps away from where you were standing create a fresh start or new beginning for you going into the New Year.

Any of these processes will help you to start the New Year off with a clean slate and prepare you for the exciting year to come with an open heart and open mind.

Setting Intentions to Manifest

Intention setting is the process of clarifying what you want the universe to manifest for you. Understanding how to set an intention for manifestation will help you properly choose and visualize your goals so you can give them the best possible chance of coming to fruition in your life. These tips will help you learn how to set intentions that will create powerful changes around you.

Be Specific

The universe does its best work when you’re clear about what you want and why. Meditate before setting intentions and dig deep to discover what you really want. If your intention is to lose weight, consider what you really desire from that outcome. Do you want to have more energy? Feel healthier? Wear different clothes? Rather than set a number on the scale for your intention, focus on the day-to-day vibe this accomplishment will create.

Visualize Your Manifestation

Visualize your life once you have completely attained your goal. See this intention manifest in your mind’s eye. Consider how it makes you feel, how it changes your daily routines, and what it inspires you to do next. Intention manifestation is most powerful when you can conjure a clear image of your life with these achievements in place.

Bring Your Lifestyle Into Alignment

You’ll find that you’re manifesting faster when you create a lifestyle that draws your intentions toward you. Like attracts like. If you want to lose weight to feel healthier, begin implementing healthy habits now. Start sipping superfood smoothies, practice yoga, or go for a hike. Anything that helps you feel healthy and energized will boost your manifestation for a goal that’s related to wellness.

Setting intentions is a powerful practice. Start writing down your intentions and revisiting them on a regular basis so you can track what the universe provides for you when you’re clear and intentional about what you desire.

How to Manifest Abundance

Setting intentions can help you manifest the things that you want to achieve most in your life. Abundance is a common choice for manifestations, but it helps to understand what this means so you can learn how to manifest abundance successfully.

Practice Gratitude

You will manifest abundance when you learn to recognize it in the world around you. Abundance comes in many forms. Practice mindful gratitude for all the blessings in your life, from the air you breathe and water you drink to the conversations and hugs you share with friends. You can manifest prosperity best when you learn that it’s not associated solely with material belongings. Practice gratitude for what you have and more will follow.

Know Your Worth

Manifesting abundance requires confidence in your self-worth. One of the most important keys to learning how to manifest abundance lies in simply believing that it’s something you deserve. Visualize your life with your ultimate goals in place and examine what type of abundance you really want. Do you truly desire an abundance of money or do you really want an abundance of time with your family, which you feel you could achieve with more financial security? Give your attention to the right intentions and know you’re worth it.

Welcome All Forms of Abundance

In the universe, like attracts like. You can’t manifest abundance in your life if you’re focused on areas of scarcity. Give your attention to things that are naturally abundant. Love is abundant, and something that you can give continually without depleting your resources. Experience your time as an abundant commodity and enjoy the richness of every second. Excitement, appreciation, and gratitude can all be abundant when you choose to express them this way. Immersing yourself in this type of abundance will draw other forms of abundance to your life as well.

Manifesting abundance isn’t as difficult as it may seem when you realize the many forms abundance can take in the world around us.

Saging to Set Intentions

The New Year can be a wonderful time to create new beginnings for yourself.  Whether you want to go back to school, start a new career, write a book, or travel, whatever your dreams are, setting your intentions on how to get there is the best first step in any new journey for your life.

Saging or smudging with sage can help kick start that process for you.  The first step in this process is to use the saging as a cleansing tool to get mental and emotional cobwebs from your life.  Your home or office, or wherever you plan to spend the most time working on your new path for yourself, is the perfect place to start the process.  Having an environment free from the past trials and tribulations in your life is essential to starting fresh.  So the best way to begin that process is to do a cleansing of that space.

Begin by getting a smudge stick of some kind. These are usually made of white sage or other cleansing herbs like lavender.  Beginning at the door from which you enter the space to be cleansed, light the smudge stick and then blow it out, smoke should continue to rise up from the bundle.  Wave the stick back and forth slowly, allowing the smoke to permeate the area all the way to the ceiling.  Go around the walls clockwise until you get back to where you started and then walk through the middle of the room to the next doorway.  If you are doing your entire home, repeat the process through each room, upstairs and down until you get to an exit. Open the door and motion for all the negative energy to exit by doing a sweeping motion with the bundle of herbs.

Now that your area is cleansed of old energy, go to a space where you will work on plans for your new adventure.  Sit at a comfortable table with the smudge stick resting on an ashtray or some other safe glass or ceramic dish for it to continue to smoke.   Clear your mind, take a few moments to calm your thoughts and meditate on the new path you want to take for your life.  Allow yourself to see you in the new situation, as if you have already accomplished your dream.  Focus on the feelings of happiness and see yourself going through the motions of the new way you want to live.

Set your mind with the intention of being determined to reach your dream and have that life.  Make a list of steps you would like to take to reach your goals for this next part of your life.  Take the list and hold it over the smoke from the smudge stick.  Allow the smoke from the sage to flow over the words on the paper, taking those intentions up and out into the universe to make your dreams a reality.

How to Set Intentions Going Into the New Year

The new year is a popular time for setting intentions. The quiet winter season is perfect for deep introspection and planning. Learn how to set intentions for the new year using mantras, rituals, and meditation that will help you maintain steady progress throughout the coming months.

Meditate on Your Intentions

Quiet your mind and meditate on your new year intentions. Visualize your best self for the coming year and evaluate what’s different about you. Are you healthier? More energetic? Surrounded by friends? Nesting in a new home? Let this visualization guide your intention setting.

Develop a Mantra

Create a succinct mantra that summarizes your primary goal for the coming year. If you want to get in better shape, consider “I am strong.” If you’re pursuing deeper spirituality, try “I am one with the universe.” This statement will keep you focused on your goal.

Create a New Year’s Eve Ritual

New Year’s Eve rituals with spiritual components can help solidify your goal. This might include:

  • Lighting a symbolic candle and meditating or praying on your intention.
  • Writing down things you’re letting go of and burning the paper.
  • Cleansing yourself of negative energies with sage or crystals.
  • Holding a crystal or talisman and focusing your intention on the object so you can keep the piece close as a focal point and reminder.

Plan for New Moon Manifesting

Divide your goal into 12 actionable steps and set individual new moon intentions that you want to accomplish throughout the year. Follow the cycle of the moon as you work through each step of your ultimate goal.

  • Set your intention on a new phase of your goal with the new moon.
  • Take action to achieve your goal during the waxing moon.
  • Celebrate your successes with the full moon.
  • Rest, evaluate, and refocus with the waning moon.

Mindful preparation for the new year will help you set meaningful intentions that will propel your life forward.

Procrastination Might Be Divine Timing

You might be like me, in that you may have put off doing something you’ve always wanted to do for weeks, months or even years. It’s tough not to be hard on yourself for procrastinating, especially in a society that is all about instantaneousness and praise for being time-efficient. However, sometimes our lack of motivation to do something is because it actually isn’t the time to do it. Divine timing might be setting things up to happen later than we think it is “supposed to be”.

For example, I am a writer and have had stories floating around in my head for years that had spiritual themes and dealt with tough issues we as a people are still dealing with today. In the last 3 years, shows with similar, although different, themes and storylines to mine have become hugely successful. The market has proved that viewers are now READY for these types of stories. Whereas years ago, in 2004, when I came up with some stories, the public would have shunned them. This year, I had the motivation to write and have written and completed 5 screenplays and will likely have 7 done before the end of the year. With all the changes happening in Hollywood with the Me Too Movement and equal pay for women, I realized that honoring my stories and honoring me as a female writer couldn’t have happened at any other time with the level of recognition and respect currently happening.

Now, I’m not saying to just always assume a lack of motivation or not making the time to complete something is a sign from the Universe that now isn’t the time. You can better clarify if something is divine timing or procrastination in the following ways:

  • Meditate
(This will help you to connect with the truth of your situation. Meditation opens you up to possibilities, as well.)
  • Get A Reading
(Having objective feedback by someone who is neutral will help you to gauge your situation accurately.)
  • Ask For A Sign
(Ask your angels, spirit guides and/or deceased loved ones for a physical sign of a yes if the time is NOW or a no that it will happen later. Be specific with your signs. Let your spiritual support team know what is a YES for you and what is a NO.)
  • Pay Attention To The Sign & Guidance.
(You must be diligent. Keep an eye out for and your ears ready to hear the sign.)
  • Acceptance & Trust
(Denial doesn’t help you, neither does Now, you are welcome to challenge a sign by changing your mind or doing more. I would say to ask, “How can I speed this up.” for ideas on how to make your dreams come true sooner.)
  • Is It That You Don’t Have Time Or Are You Misusing Time?
(Evaluate your time management skills and any excuses you might be using to sabotage yourself. You might want to work with a life coach, counselor or therapist to help.)
  • Truth.
(As yourself, is it really what you want? Sometimes procrastination is the unfoldment of no longer being in harmony with a dream.)
  • Address Fear
(Is the lack of motivation connected to fear or something else? Fear of success? Fear of failing? Journaling can also help you get to the answer to this.)
  • Just Start
(Sometimes we don’t know if we’re procrastinating or not. In cases like this, just start without having pressure to end things at a certain time or start small. For example, if you want to write a book, perhaps start by writing a blog post.)
  • Use Divination
(Divinations, especially cards, are known for giving objective answers when used correctly. Consult whichever divinatory tool works for you.)

Manifesting Intentions

Everyone has the potential to manifest their intentions into reality.  However it takes work and persistence to get it right.  There are several steps necessary to successfully manifest your intentions into your life.

1.  Be as specific as possible when trying to focus on what you want.  The Universe will deliver on what your focus is, but sometimes it happens in unexpected ways.

For example, if you are focusing on manifesting “success” in your career, but aren’t clear on what that looks like, then you might find that you suddenly begin receiving loads of recognition at work.  You might even become well known for what you do to the point people seek you out for advice.  You might become known worldwide for the work you have accomplished.  Yet you might not receive one raise along the way and see no financial gain from this “success” you have achieved.  So was it “success” you wanted or “financial success” or both?

It is important for you to understand what it is you are trying to manifest before you can make it happen.

2.  Choose a short term goal to work on, then have a longer term idea of where you want it to go, and finally know what you want your life to look like big picture in five to ten years down the road.

In the previous example, if it is financial success you are looking for, as a short term focus try something specific like this, “I want to make enough money to pay all my bills every month.”  This way, no matter how many new or unexpected bills might come in, if you are manifesting with this wording, your bills will always be covered.

Next, focus on a secondary step. Such as, “I want to make enough money to pay all my bills and have $100 extra to put into savings every month.”  This way you are building not only for your short term but also for your longer term financial success.

Finally think big picture, “I want to make enough money to pay all my bills, have at least $100 to put into savings every month, and at the end of five years be financially able to buy my own home.”

3.  Be patient and consistent.  Manifesting can be hard to get used to and it takes work.  You have to focus on what you want and put energy out into the Universe to make it happen.  This can feel somewhat alien and takes time and consistency to develop.  It won’t happen overnight but it will happen.

4.  Finally, believe with your entire being, that you deserve whatever it is you are attempting to manifest.  This can be the hardest step and the one most likely to block your attempts to manifest your intentions into your life. It is easy to self sabotage your desire to bring positive change into your life if you don’t truly believe you deserve those good things.

Know what you want, be patient and consistent, and believe you deserve it!

5 Ways You Can Work With Energy To Attract Love

If you’re feeling the sting of singledom and looking to attract love into your life, it’s important to make sure you’re projecting the right energies. Your vibrations will determine what type of relationship you draw to yourself and whether or not you can attract a partner at all. Use these strategies to create a positive energetic pull that will draw the type of positive, balanced, and fulfilling relationship that you need into your life.

Make Space in the Bedroom

Use Feng Shui strategies to create a bedroom that will draw positive romantic energies. Place your bed so there’s an equal amount of space on either side and neither person is sleeping in a corner. This helps attract an equal partnership. Place items in the bedroom in pairs to draw in the balancing energies of another person. Use things like a pair of candles, a pair of flowers, or two figurines.

Meditate on Wholeness

Meditation is a powerful tool for balancing your energetic vibrations. To attract love from another, you must focus your energy on loving yourself. You can’t draw a healthy relationship by putting out a desperate pull for energy that will fill a void. You must focus on healing in any areas where it’s needed so you can find the energies of a partner who will complement — not complete — you.

Look in the Mirror

You will attract the type of energy that you put out. Look into the mirror and visualize the energy that you’re projecting. Are you sending out calm, peaceful vibrations or are you radiating fear, loneliness, and jealousy? Practice mindfulness regarding all the energies you’re projecting and focus on sending out love so that this is what’s reflected back at you. If you’re not sure about the types of energies you’re sending out, a psychic phone call can help you find out.

Repeat Affirmations

Affirmations are words that build you up, reinforce your beliefs, and clear energetic barriers. The energy you promote with your affirmations is the energy you’ll manifest in your daily life. Try phrases like:

  • I am worthy of love.
  • I receive love from the universe every day.
  • I have the power to send boundless love into the universe.

Place your affirmation on an index card and tuck it in a prominent place, such as a mirror frame, so you see it several times a day.

Practice Gratitude

Instead of focusing on what you do not have, focus your energy on thankfulness for what you do possess. Gratitude is a powerful force in the universe that naturally draws more abundance. You are given what you can be trusted to cherish and appreciate, so appreciate everything from the rich taste of your morning coffee to the beauty of the sunset. If you’re having trouble finding positive things to be thankful for, a psychic reading may help clear the blockages that are blinding you.

Working with the right energies, you can draw a healthy, balanced, and fulfilling love into your life that is everything you want it to be.

Signs And Symptoms Of A Spiritual Awakening

As the name suggests, a spiritual awakening is an experience that makes you feel more awake to what’s happening around you. Before a spiritual awakening, you typically experience the world in a very dry and simplified manner. However, you won’t recognize the depth of what you were missing until after the awakening has occurred. A spiritual awakening is usually the result of deep introspective thinking and difficult shadow work evaluating your beliefs and actions in a more honest and open light.

While you can work toward this type of enlightenment, you can’t force it. Here are some signs that an awakening is about to occur or has just taken place.

Seeing Yourself in Others

One false sign of a mistaken spiritual awakening is the sudden sense that you have it “right” and others are still operating “wrong.” This may indicate some type of personal revelation, but it’s not a spiritual awakening. One who is truly awakened sees a bit of themselves in every person they meet and understands the intrinsic oneness of us all.

Seeing Your Past in a New Light

A spiritual awakening will typically give you new insights into the meaning and relevance of your current situation based on a deeper understanding of the past. The process of a spiritual awakening involves revisiting some of what’s happened to you before and making a deep peace with these situations. As you’re undergoing an awakening, you may notice your focus shifting from planning for the future to staying more mindful of the present.

Getting Friendly With Your Shadow Self

Some people falsely believe that a spiritual awakening means shedding your darker side and becoming one with pure love and light. However, a true awakening revolves around getting to know and make peace with your shadow self. This darker side is always present. Only embracing it can you truly reach a higher level of spirituality.

Noticing Greater Synchronicity

A spiritual awakening will help you recognize a greater sense of synchronicity in the design of the universe. You are receiving signs and communications at all times, but you will become more receptive of these as you approach a true spiritual awakening. Speaking with a psychic can help you tune in to some of these messages. After a true spiritual awakening occurs, you’ll likely see signs of the greater oneness of the universe all around you.

Detaching From Preconceived Notions

A spiritual awakening calls you to reevaluate what you previously believed to be true. As you become more awakened, you’ll strip away some of the beliefs that have limited you and begin to experience the world more wholly, free from the constraints of others’ opinions and thoughts.
